Tap @ Wedge Brewing Co. Cloudy, deep golden. Strong! Straw flavor. Crisp grassy hop. Heavy bodied. Dry crisp malt. Very strong! Very herbal hop character. A touch of straw, rich syrupy pils malts. Very bold. Lots of herbal hop characteristics. Overall, it is like an Imperial Pils with Belgian yeast. <27 Oct 09>

This deserves so much better that a "72" percentile and 3.27 score. This is superlative, spot on for the style, and highly commendable coming from a Western North Carolina brew pub brewery! So good.

Draft at the brewery. A very nice, drinkable brew whose alcohol is well hidden. Smooth with banana undertones.

on tap at Tupelo Honey Cafe in Asheville, NC. pours caramel coppery with a barely visible cloudiness. aroma is yeasty and somewhat spicy. flavor is buttery, bready, some dark fruits. finish is oily, in a good way-it lasts on the tounge. quite an amazing beer, and i hope to find more of it somewhere.
