A barnyard burlap/straw like earthy flavor with a sweet almost cloying finish. A little thin and watery but ok. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2009 Updated: May 8, 2009 4/25/2009: Wedge Super Saison (8% ABV) pours a cloudy, dark gold color. It is sweet and malty with an interesting spice and a good body. This Saison is thick and pretty good overall. I tend to prefer the thicker, malty saisons like this one with a bit of sweetness and lighter on the spice, fruit, and funk.
Sample at Dark Lord Day 2009. Rating #16 for this beer.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2009 DLD 2009, thanks to [RBian ?]: It poured a hazy orange body with a slender white head. The aroma was tart tangerine, pink grapefruit, and a touch of honey. The flavor was much the same with the addition of a light herbal bitterness. I’m surprized at the higher ABV, but I s’pose the "Super" had to have some meaning. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2009 Sampled at Springslicker’s Fish Fry ’09. Semi hazy orange pour with thin white head. Smells lightly funky, sweet grapefruit. Tangy orange flavor with a semi-bitter finish. Cool swingtop bottle. Thanks Phil! jsh12bama (344), Alabama, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Another DLD sample. Amber pour. Light head. Honey notes and a lack of funky lead me away from the saison style. But the flavor is nice. It is a bit funky, but with more syrup and honey notes. There is a tartness in the beer. But more sweetness than anything. Not bad.
