Pours light orange with whitish head, slowly-rising bubbles, and some winelike legs; I can tell it is sweeter than standard just by looking at it. The aroma is tangerine, some lemon zest, salt, a hint of wildflower honey, and some vinous notes. The flavor is very fruity, with some melon, honey, sage, and slight hops. A strong lime taste comes out as it gets warm. Over-the-top, but good. As sweet as it is, I’m not sure I could call it a saison. Suttree (2748), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Updated: Apr 27, 2009Cloudy orange, slowly emerging white head. Nice aroma - mix of orange juice (my notes say "smells like Tang". I’m pretty sure that’s what I meant.) Also rhubarb? And kind of buttery, but not in a dyacetal way. Flavor is winey and herbal, with sweet, juicy notes mixed in. Palate seemed a bit syrupy, maybe some more time in the bottle would’ve dried it out. Good Stuff. AmEricanbrew (2000), Almost, Texas, USA

Big pale malt grist aroma with dry hay and light spices. Medium body. Heavy flavors of sharp caramel malt with again light dry spices. Lightly sweet throughout. Can’t beat the spring Saison. ericandersnavy (1141), crossroads, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Big fancy swing-top bottle. Hazy golden color with a thin white head. Surprising fruity aroma with notes of pear standing out. Light and fruity for a 8.3% ABV beer. Green apple, pear, and a little grass. I expected something funkier but this is not bad at all. blutt59 (2182), Dallas, Texas, USA
