Swingtop liter bottle pours a murky light golden body with a small offwhite head. No lacing. Body is medium and barely carbonated, leading me to believe that maybe there was a problem with the seal. Taste is overly sweet, with caramel and honey notes sweeping away the subtle spice and herbal hop nuances. A hint of cinnamon in the finish. Sweet saisons just don’t do anything for me.

Bottle at Springslicker’s house. Pours a hazy amber with a dissipating rocky head. Aroma of sweet wheaty malts, burlap, and hay. Lighter side of medium bodied with nice natural mouthfeel. Flavor of toffee, wheat, fruity phenols, and butter. Almost Biere de Garde like. There was something odd (not in a bad way) about this that I can’t pinpoint. Oh well, it’s worth trying.

22-ounce bottle from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Refreshing, very drinkable beer for outdoors/summer, and underrated in saison class. Rich golden color with light gold head. Various fruit flavors.

Bottle at PPRBSG09. Amber pour with a thin head. Very light apricot and peach nose. Light spiciness and a touch of grapefruit as well. There is a bit of banana on the top as well. Quite sweet which is always a turn-off for these types of beers.

Got to try this at PPRBSG09. Pours a goldish orange in color. Aroma consists of some barnyard, grass funk , and earthiness along with bread. Flavor is somewhat floral with citrus, spice, honey and pineapple. Pineapple seems to really stand out in my opinion.

Cool bottle. Light color, slightly cloudy no head. Dirty grainy with some old rotten citrus. Earthy all the way and muddy.

Bottle at PPRBSG09. Pours a cloudy light orange. Aroma of yeast, melon, and vegetal notes. Flavor is sweet and malty with the vegetal notes still present. Meh. 6/4/6/3/12 (3.1/5)
