12oz bottle. Pours a nice copper amber color, with a decent tan head. A light sour bread aroma. Taste is malty and bready with some mild nuttiness. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Watery and thin.

Serving: Draft. Appearance: Cloudy, deep brown with a foamy, off-white head. Aroma: Light malt and caramel notes in the nose. Flavor: Light malt notes, but not much else. Just kind of bitter and tasteless. Perhaps my palate was ruined by their other crappy beers. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a short, malty finish. Overall: This one may be the best out of the bunch, but wow, they need some serious help at this brewery.

Big-ass bottle brought to our departmental picnic - thanks, Ann and Mike! Reddish brown pour with a faint carbonation. Sharp hay notes blend with toffee malts in the nose, making for an offbeat but fairly appealing entry to the style. Not sure it all hangs together in the taste, though, as the spice and yeast seem a bit off, with an effect that combines as both harsh and a bit brackish. Nice sweet malts and hops in there nonetheless, but this beer wasn’t what it could have been.

Bottle - 1 liter swing-top. Dark reddish brown pour with a short tan head. Aroma is caramel, light toffee, spicy hops and earthy notes. Taste is sweet malts, caramel, light toffee spicy hops, and dark bready notes. Body is light-medium with a strong but controlled carbonation. Finishes with more bready notes, toffee, spicy hops, grass, caramel and earthy flavors. Rather tasty!

Pours reddish brown with a thin off white head/ Smells of sweet malt, some earthy hints, peppery splashes, dark fruit. Tastes sweet and malty with a full body and a nice spicy finish.

Wierd little beer. Very earthy and a ton of vegetable flavor. Pours brown with a thin white head and smells bready. Farm brew is just about the right description. It tastes like a farm, but not in the good Fantome way. Not really something that I enjoy, but I’m glad to have tried it.

Bottle. Brought back from Outer Banks vacation. Had at a local seafood restaurant and had to have more. Pours rick amber with a nice head. Caramel malts and toffee. Slightly sour finish. Definitely one of WR’s better brews.
