Jul 22, 2004 a dunkel? er.. ok.. pours out a dark brown color with a tan head that is gone by the end of the glass. very malty smell and flavor, a pretty good NC brewed beer, not the best ive had of NC brewed, but still, its not bad, definately trade material :)

Jun 13, 2004 Deep amber color and fluffy head. Sweet, lightly burnt toffee aroma. Medium bodied flavor, slightly roasted with a fruity finish. Nice beer - the name suggests a Schwarzbier.

May 23, 2004 Draft. Nice dark red color with a thin white head. The flavor is pretty malty with some sweet overtones as well. Not a bad brew but nothing too special.

May 19, 2004 Pours a dark woody brown with a thick biege head. Malty sweet aroma, with a hint of hops. Watery mouthfeel. Mild chocolate, caramel, coffee, lightly toasted malt, and hops on the tongue. Watery finish. Not bad. Good for washing down some fries and a hamburger.

May 16, 2004 Has a nice dark amber brown color. Descent carbonation with a very slight alcohol feel. I thought this beer was very good, in a simple kind of way. It is just an enjoyable rich and smooth beer.
