| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 22, 2004 First time I tried this beer was a few years ago. I believe the brewing was originally in the Carolinas. The Black Radish I sampled last night was brewed in Baltimore. Beer poured dark brown with minimal head. Caramel undertones to this lager. I think this beer has changed since the production moved to Baltimore. However, this would make a good warm weather session beer. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 19, 2004 Bottle. Very small white head. Dark, ruby, clear appearance. Aroma is malty, sweet, roasty. Can smell caramel and toffee. Flavor is a bit of a let down--slightly watery, bitterness contained in roastiness of malt, and there is a bit of an overly seet feeling to the flavor. It has taste without substance. Not the worst--but . . . Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2004 Dark brown with hints of ruby in the color, small tan head that faded quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was malty sweet with a nice caramel side to it.Very nice flavor of malt and sweet caramel with a slight roastiness.Mild hops and the alcohol jsut manages to make a faint showing but almost to mild to even mention. It's a bit thin in the feel but over all it has a nice flavor and easy drinkability to it.Thanks go to Springslicker for sending this nice brew my way. rabuc (143), carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2004 Nice tasting lager. The thing that really stands out is its mellow maltiness and the hints of brown sugary sweetness. A winner! SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2004 This intensely dark lager moves between aspects of a Munich Dunkel and a Schwarzbier. Low hop aroma and bitterness, slightly sweet and malty. I'll have another.
