Dark brown color. Small head. Aroma is indistinct, but it slightly malty and sweet. A light to medium bodied dunkel. Malts are fairly mild, slightly malty and slightly sweet. Hops? I’m sure they are there, but no sure where. Slightly bitter and floral? It’s a little thin tasting for a dukel. Has enough flavor to make it interesting and would make a good summer beer. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This medium bodied dunkel starts with a rocky head. It's got a roast malt flavor and aroma that moves quickly to a moderate hop finish.

Deep brown color with a decent tan head. Roasted malt in the aroma. Somewhat of a sweet flavor...with a hint of smoke. A pretty good beer if I say so myself. On tap at the Beer Sellar in Knoxville, TN.

Very dark brown colour with slight ruby highlights when held up to a light. Nice dense light tan coloured head tops the beer perfectly. Malty aroma, some of it roasty, some of it not...with a slight sweetness and a subtle metallic twang. Medium to Light-bodied; Malty initial flavour with definate smoky characteristics and a slight tobacco flavour. The malt and hops are very subdued in this one, and the odder characteristics come out. Aftertaste actually very mild for the style and left fairly plain on the palate. Overall, a good dunkel, not great...but fairly nice all-around. I got this twelve ounce bottle in a trade with Suttree in Knoxville, Tennessee...thanks again Phil!

Very easy-to-drink dunkel. Complex malting with a bit more mouthfeel than I expected. Smokier than most dunkels.

Decent dunkel type beer. Basic roasted malt flavor and aromas with some hints of coffee and caramel. Somewhat mellow flavored for a darker beer though.

(Brewed by Clipper City Brewing) The beer looks really good in my pint glass, even though it is a bit on the dark side for a dunkel. The nose is mostly malty with a touch of coffee. The palate is roasty with undertones of coffee, chocolate, licorice, and malt. To be honest I find this beer to be more of a porter than a dunkel. The beer is lacking the pils and Munich malt character it needs to be a real dunkel.

Dark malty aroma and flavor. Good medium mouthfeel. However, there's a definite metallic aftertaste, and an almost cotton candy sweetness to it.
