Black body. A sweet smooth malty beer, that is full flavored. Wouldn’t look for on a regular basis though.

Great black body, with a light head that disappears quickly. Good chocolate and malt accents in the aroma, some light hops. Very nice clean body, dark malts, salty bread in the taste. Nice bitter ending, a very good beer.

Schwarzbier originated in Eastern Germany, and you won’t find too many examples of this beer being produced, even in its native Germany. So it truly is a wonderful thing for a beer lover, to have access to a few domestic, as well as imported examples of this style. This is a delicious, sweet malty, toasty, nutty, dark lager, with just a touch of roast, and a wonderfully clean body. Black Radish Dark Lager pours to a deep ebony color with a creamy tan head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. When held to the light, this beer is really a beautiful, bright, deep brown color. The nose on this beer is just wonderful, with big aromas of sweet malt, toast, nuts, and just a slight touch of roast. The palate is firm with good dark malt flavors. Flavors of sweet malt, toast, nuts, touches of dark chocolate, slight hints of smoke and roast, coat the tongue. The body on this beer is so smooth and round, making this beer just so drinkable. Black Radish finishes with more dark malt character up front, and ends with a slighty sweet and roasty finish.

"Pour a dark brown, mabye black hard to tell in plastic cup. Head disapated quickly. Smelled of malts and caramel. Could taste caramel. chocolate and coffee. Medium to heavy mouthfeel, very nice beer."
