Pours a dark brown with a deep reddish hue. The nice size head is dark tan in color. The beer looks good with the pour suggesting a beer with more flavor than fizz.
The aroma was strong with malt and a hint of coffee, not overpowering but quite nice. The flavor continues the sweetness in a big way with very little bitterness. The finish is sweet...sweet, sweet, sweet. Yes, this is a sweet beer. I can detect little if any trace of hops.
Smooth feel which enhances the drinkability but the beer is no better than other brown lagers I have had. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

Hazy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied. Nose is roasted coffee. Starts sweet/roasted coffee, some caramel, porter like but a decent dunkel. 12oz bottle gift, available from Vintage Cellar Blacksburg, Va. joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2005 Bottle. Nose-cigarette smoke and mild malts. Taste-much better than the nose. Notes of basalmic vinegar, tobaccoo, with an acrid aftertaste. Not bad, but there is plenty of room for improvement.
