Pours a golden straw color with a very bubbly head that is gone quickly. Smell is rather corn based. Flavor is light and hoppy. Very highly carbonated. Very bubbly and champagne like. Very light and non-cloying. Refreshing. GAManiac (1169), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow orange with a soapy white head that shows very good retention and excellent lacing. It looks pretty good.
Not a lot going on in the smell. The aroma is definitely grainy with some pretty strong sweet malts as well.
The taste was a little subpar for me as the grains and malt sweetness are overpowered by a fairly unpleasant sourness that just doesn’t sit right.
The mouthfeel is pretty thin with good carbonation.
This looks OK and smells OK but the taste seemed off to me. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

I love the Black Radish and Altbier, but the Corolla Gold disappointed me. Nothing stuck out as bad but not a memorable beer. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Flavor is quite similar, with a slightly sweet light malt flavor. Extremely refreshing and quite enjoyable. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Aroma of carmelized malts. Flavor is slightly sour with a bit of pale malt sweetness and some fruity notes, a grainey finish with just a touch of some hop bitterness. mbgrayson (145), Anaconda, Montana, USA

We had a large bottle directlkly from the new brewery location on the drive from Norfolk to the Outer Banks.
