Flavor is all kinds of bavarian, with a nice combo of maltiness and hops. An interesting beer. Bottle says brewed by Weeping Radish in Baltimore, MD 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

A pretty golden amber coloring that shines. Head is frothy and bubbly, but sadly it disappears in clumps until it’s just a spotty trace floating on top of the beer. Nothing complicated here. A mild malt flavor that has somewhat of a sweetness that gives way to a metallic aftertaste. Moderate hop bitterness as neither the malt nor the hops win out in the flavor war. As the beer warms, the tinny metallic taste really rears its ugly head. A relatively "OK" beer from one of NC’s breweries....although I’m saddened to learn that this is contract-brewed. Brewed in Maryland per the label. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 20, 2006 Had this one on draught in Manteo, North Carolina. Overrated. Yellow pour and clear with a thin and filmy head, with a nose of straw and mown grass, light but a bit hoppy. Not terrible. Mirage52 (127), New Market, Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 12, 2006 From the bottle. Poured the usual deep golden color with a medium sized and rapidly disapating head. Pretty bubbly. The mouthfeel is instantly buttery, then changes into a smooth finish free of offensive hops or a sweet malty aftertaste. A very enjoyable, and very drinkable variation of the Helles genre. shrubber85 (2920), Wallhalben, Germany

Creamy sweet berry malt flavor. Nice well blended - not too sweet - an excellent Helles. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
