| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Clear gold with a medium white head. Grain and hay in the nose. Flavor is well-rounded with some body. Pleasantly sweet and a little malty with notes of grain, lemon, grass/hay and a touch of bitterness at the end. Medium smooth texture with lively carbonation. Contrary to other ratings for this beer, I wouldn’t say it’s watery. Some lacing left on the glass. Decent head retention. A solid offering. I little underrated IMO. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Considering what this beer is meant to be, I think they did a great job with it. It has a very mild grassy and slightly bitter flavor that goes together nicely for an incredibly drinkable and refreshing beer. So while this beer isnt at the top, I respect it for its delicious simplicity. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2005 Another North Carolina brew I’ve been waiting to try. Crisp, fresh taste, decent head, very nice drinkable lighter bodied beer. Good malt and hops make this a solid beer. I would like to get my hands on some more weeping radish brews. joeygjr (8), Virginia, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2005 Aroma of soap. Not sure where that is coming from -- mix of hop spice and malt?? Offputting at first but not terribly bad. Huge snowy, pillowy head -- some wheat in the grist?? Excellent malty taste. Mild mouthfeel, not thin. On the sweet side, but well balanced -- nice hop bitterness. Had it with Chinese (Szechuan) leftovers -- perfect match. lamas (736), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA

Different label than that in the picture. Pours a clear gold with smallish bubby off-white head. Aroma of hops and sweet bready grains. Refreshing and crisp. Thin. Sweet but with a different spicy finish. A little corny and bready. Seems like this would go great with a nice seafood dinner. Good summer brew. jeffc666 (1897), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

The aroma is loaded with corn! Lightly sweet. The flavor is lightly sweet biscuit then some light grass and floral but that is it. It is very uninspired. I had higher hops from this lager brewer but I have been let down. SledgeJr (3004), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Delightful summery beer. Worthy of sitting in the outside beer garden on roanoke island and sipping all afternoon.
