Orange-red in color. Sweet, pure malt aroma. Flavor follows the aroma with a strong malt flavor, a bit of caramel. Hops are minimal, slightly bitter. A typical amber lager.

Amber brown color with limited head. Tea and spice aromas. I can’t put my finger on the initial flavor but there is nice hoppiness at the rear. Tasty.

Pours a burnished copper with a strong tan head. Lacing is present, but not sticky. Toasty and earthy, this brew is malt forward with a slight sweetness and dry finish. The aroma is very tea-like. There is a strong spiciness to the beer, leaving a nice tingling sensation on the tongue. This can likely be attriubted to the yeast, as Weeping Radish is a wholly Reinhiesgebot brewery and does not add adjucts. Bittering hops rise towards the end.

Oct. 2005 - A very ordinary fest. Pour was reddish brown with minimal head and lacing. Flavor was kinda bland. Nothing offensive or nonenjoyable, but nothing to stand out, either. The best part about this is the cool looking cap. ;)

Pint @ Manteo location. Good aroma, sweet, yeasty, toffee, lite cherry. Clean orangy brown color, good head that slowly faded to nothing. Sweet flavor, kind of roasty, but like aroma, though it was a notch down from the aroma. Lite body, thin creamy mouthfeel, clean sweet finish. Good, but nothing to excite. Very traditional Vienna.

Unpastuerized half-liter bottle from the brewery, 12/06. Pours a brilliant dark copper with nice carbonation but just a thin coverage and little ring of an off-white head. Pleasant subtle aroma of lightly toasted malts which, with a touch of noble hops, imparts a lightly fruity (cherry) aroma. Sweet malty flavor with some nice toasty notes coming through. Pretty clean with just a little bitterness upfront and a smooth, balanced, although somewhat dull finish. Medium bodied and medium carbonation, with a fairly smooth mouthfeel. This is a solid German-sytle Fest and one of the better Weeping Radish offerings.
