| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 4, 2002 Pours a deep amber with a nice beige head. Aroma is strongly caramel. Flavor is watery caramel, with some German-style bitterness carrying through to the swallow. Decidedly bland. hopdog (5630), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2004 On tap. Poured a medium golden color with a small white head. Couldn’t really pick anything special out of the aroma and tastes. Vienna is another style I don’t care too much for. Lighter and watery body. hopscotch (5555), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 13, 2003 Hazy, dark amber lager with a copper tint. Small, creamy, khaki-colored head with great retention.
The aroma is fruity and sweet. Maple syrup, toffee and red apple.
Very malty, rich and buttery flavor with some light notes of fuzzy fruit. Well-balanced regarding malt versus hops.
Medium-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, astringent, dry finish. Reminiscent of some of the better Scottish ales I've tasted. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA

Smells of caramel, fruit, some hints of molasses. Tastes of pepper, spice, some hints of caramel and a nice dry wildflower/citrus taste as the beer warms. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 2, 2005 12 oz bottle. Clear amber-copper, frother moderately stable head...lightly spiced corn-sweet nose is fairly vapid...bit of floral character and a touch of woodiness in the caramel-laden, light and effervescent body...dull but drinkable, doesn’t seem close to a Vienna to me.
