All this beer does is foam very badly in your mouth with each sip! However the taste is good, but better wheat beers or out there, New Glarus and Julius Echter. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 7, 2003 Updated: Jul 28, 2003Tried again on tap. Once again extremely cloudy with an enormous head. Less carbonated. Excellent beer. Classic flavors of banana, clove, and citrus. Great aromas of the first two and yeast. Damn good and damn different than the bottle i had last time.
(Original rating 2.8)Cloudy with an enormous head and enormous amount of yeast in the bottle. Extremely carbonated (I burped, loudly, after every sip). Some banana flavor although not too much. Flavor was disappointing. Not my favorite of the style but not the worst i have had. UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2003 Gave me a champagne pop as I uncapped it. Very loud, then proceeded to foam out all over my lap. Pours with a gigantic white head. Cloudy pale gold color. Strong apple/banana scent. Very sweet and light bodied, very much in the german style. I’m liking it. Slightly tinny aftertaste, with some hoppy tartness. Andrew196 (1091), Katy, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2002 Very cloudy, gave good head. Spicy, crisp, acidic aroma. Typical hefe, but pulled together perfectly with a spicy banana finish. Went very well with mom’s hot chocolate chip cookies. LaChad (1375), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 26, 2002 One of the more unusual hefes I’ve ever had. First of all, the head was the second biggest I’ve ever seen, and the biggest was a botched homebrew batch. Coming out of the bottle, the smellw as unattactive and metallic; I wasn’t expecting much. But after the foam settled down, I found more of the usual banana-clove aroma and flavor with some additional richness: woodiness, floral dimensions, maybe even hints of cherry. Excellent dry, fruity finish. Qutie nice. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2002 (It says Weizen on the label, not Hefeweizen) Cloudy golden body with white foam that left quickly. Aroma is sweet & wheaty, with cloves. Taste is pleasant -- light wheat with a nice sweetness that isn’t overpowering. Spices (mostly clove) make their presence known at the aftertaste. Very flavorful and easy to drink -- I could picture drinking lots of these on a hot Outer Banks day. Easily my favorite among the Weeping Radish beers I’ve tried. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 9, 2002 Lots of sediment on the bottom of the glass, after decocting, it increased significantly the “Chill Haze”, the beer pours a light lemon color. The head unfathomed in size as the beer has been re-fermenting in the bottle, it is spumous, and a brilliant white, the lace massively thick globs and sheets that cling till the vary last drop. Nose is yeast, wheat, citrus, and quite sniffable, front cloyingly sweet, thin top, sour, mildly acidic, minimal hops, dry and a bit waterish for my liking. The lack of bite, and body will cost this beer dearly, despite its appealing appearance. Ranks a quite disapointing #931 on my current 1000 beer list.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 6, 2002 Not enough substance. Not fair that I drank a Herold Hefe before this one. Watered down American wheat. Not exactly a craft brew... more like a beer that would be found at Kraftbrua in Kalamazoo, or Harrisons near Chicago. (boring brewpub selections made for the masses)
