Maybe it was the atmosphere at the Brewpub. Very cool. Loved the old homeland music. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA

Excellent phenolics, with the accent slightly on the clove phenolic. Crisp, refreshing, well-balanced carbonation to favor profile. Good residual yeast in the 12-ounce bottle. Fantastic summer quencher, extremely drinkable. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

A fairly brilliant yellow color. Did not retain much head at all. Rather fruity aromas present, especially banana? A typical yeasty weizen, cloudy and hazy. The drinkability was OK, the taste not being one of my favorites, but the aromas and smells were pretty impressive to me.

Aroma of wheat with some subtle sour and lactose note. Taste included a good dose of wheat with some sweetness but there is still a small sour and lactose feel in the aftertaste that bothers me. Slightly below your average weizen with probably a small infection. jb (1063), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2006 I poured this one into one of my weisse glasses. That revealed that this was a little small (not 0,5 l), was a little too clear and a bit over-carbonated. But other than that they captured the style. Big banana and clove aroma, bananas and oranges in the palate and the sour yeasty taste. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2006 Purchased at the brew pub in Mateo. 12 oz bottle. Pours very clear for a Hefe. Orange-onion skin color. Pleasant highly sweet aroma of banana and clove. The flavor is strong with banana ice cream, clove and a relatively high sweetness (some of my friends could not stand it) that I found tolerable-even enjoyable-if not powerful. The body’s creaminess pushes through the carbonation. Interesting and not bad. I had 5-6 of their beer at the brewery but only rate the one I purchased as I was having too much fun drinking. All the beers I had there were drinkable.
