Had this one on draught in Manteo, North Carolina. Light yellow and somewhat cloudy pour with a thick fluffy white head, citrus in the nose, with banana and orange. Nothing special -- pretty meh.

I bought 6 of this in OBX, May ’06’. After spending 3 hours taking out old microwave/rangehood and installing new one. I was ready to down a refreshing beer. I 1st squeezed a little wedge of lemon in my Weisbier glass, then poured this in on it to create a large foamy head that smelled of lemon. It was great smooth and refreshing.

Poured straw-yellow color with some head but nothing spectacular. Seemed more like an American than a German wheat. Slight bananas present but seemed to be lacking the citrus aroma and flavor. Mildly spiced. A decent beer, the best of my lower end vball drinking tonite.

Tap. Banana, peach and wheat aroma - nice full aroma. Orange amber with very light cloudiness with moderate head. Light sweet creamy banana, orange and peach flavors. Full bodied. A great Weizen - one of the best in America.

Bottle. Pours hazy pale straw yellow with a fizzy, rocky white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma is yeast (wheat, dough), malt (cereal, grain) and a fragrant lemony citrus bouquet with banana and clove notes. Lemon and a light sweetness, citrusy start you out, yielding only for the huge wheat yeast flavor, somewhat of a lingering acidic and bitter citrus flavor. Light bodied and fizzy, refreshing palate.

This is my favorite beer to drink in America. This is as close to a true german Hefeweizen as you can find anywhere. I spent 2 weeks in the bavarian region last year and I tried a lot of the local brews. This beer is absolutely as good as any German offering. If you are anywhere near the Outerbanks of NC please do yourself a favor and grab a beer from the Weeping Radish.

Weeping Radish Weizen pours to a beautiful, cloudy, opaque, pale golden color with a tall, dense, creamy white head, and a vibrant carbonation from the yeast sediment found in the bottle. Save the last ounce or so of beer, and swirl the bottle to roust the yeast and pour it into your glass. The nose on this beer is very inviting with those signature funky and spicy aromas of clove, bannana, bubble gum, and ripe fruit. The palate is very firm, with lots of good "chunky" tart wheat malt flavor, paired with juicy, estery fruit flavors of pear and apple. Weeping Radish Weizen finishes with more tart malt character, and ends with a refreshing, tart, fruity, and clove spicy finish that lingers.

Bottle from Slob Thanks!

This brewer gets my vote for one of the more interesting company names. Anywho, pours a surpisingly listless Kraft Maccoroni and Cheese yellow/orange, with a quickly subsiding head. Aroma is a hybrid of banana and clove. Flavor is surprisingly light and sweet, with a nice banana coming through all through the tasting. A weak clove is in the background, but the ’nanas have the spotlight in this beer. Palate is slippery. Good beer.
