The body is a cloudy yellow. The aroma has the bubblegum and clove of a hefeweizen, but it’s a bit weak. Same goes for the flavor which had a good lemony character. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA

Hazy golden yellow colored with a fair white head that fades to a ring. No lacing. Aroma is clovish with a hint of yeast. Light bodied a bit watery. Flavor of light clove with a more predominant yeasty flavor. A bit of lemon/lime. Overall a pleasant beer, not topnotch but solid. jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 1, 2005 Cloudy yellow with a quickly fading white head. Aroma of clove, banana and yeast. The flavor is plesantly sweet. Like the aroma, the flavor has notes of banana, clove, spices and yeast plus citrus and lemon characteristics.. No bitterness detected. Very clean finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation. No lacing or head retention. A very satisfying beer. SledgeJr (2961), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Aroma of wheat and yeast. The flavor is tart and buttery. Plenty of esters to go around. Smooth palate with easy drinkability. A fine one to have on the porch at Roanoke Island. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 16, 2004 Bottle opens with a huge chuff. The furiously bubbling beer immediately throws up an enormous head; the noise alone sounds like thunderous applause from a Lilliputian audience. With care, I empty the bottle in three pours, and the churning foam subsides to a half-inch airy froth. Estery nose includes clove, the sweet musky perfume of wysteria (or lavender?), banana muffins, and almond biscotti. Behind the frenzied carbonation (which dissipates in about 5 minutes), the flavor is unusually crisp and spicy, peppery, earthy, grassy; the typical clove and banana are evident, but subdued. In the instant before bubbles exlode in my mouth, the palate is slick and lubricating. Apart from the gassiness, the beer is inoffensive, although off-style. I would have rated this much higher as a Belgian golden ale. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
