This is as close to a true german Hefeweizen as you can find anywhere. I spent 2 weeks in the bavarian region last year and I tried a lot of the local brews. This beer is absolutely as good as any German offering. If you are anywhere near the Outerbanks of NC please do yourself a favor and grab a beer from the Weeping Radish. Excellent phenolics, with the accent slightly on the clove phenolic. Crisp, refreshing, well-balanced carbonation to favor profile. Good residual yeast in the 12-ounce bottle. Fantastic summer quencher, extremely drinkable. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

Less carbonated. Excellent beer. Classic flavors of banana, clove, and citrus. Great aromas of the first two and yeast. Damn good and damn different than the bottle i had last time.
(Original rating 2.8)Cloudy with an enormous head and enormous amount of yeast in the bottle. Extremely carbonated (I burped, loudly, after every sip). Some banana flavor although not too much. Flavor was disappointing. Not my favorite of the style but not the worst i have had. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Very tart and yeasty, with a light hoppiness. Very pretty cloudy pale yellow-white with a great creamy texture. Mixed all together, it’s sort of like a banana split in a glass. Very impressive. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA

The palate is full of what one would expect. The beer finishes with a touch of malty sweetness. Easy to quaff. Good example. shrubber85 (3004), Wallhalben, Germany
