500 mL bottle from World Market in Raleigh. I’m pretty sure this is not what the brewer intended for this beer since it is nowhere near a hefeweizen. I’m guessing there is either an infection or this one has aged to the point of being something completely different. Since this is often the case of how you find Weeping Radish beers, especially in the Triangle area, I will continue with this rating. Hazy golden pour with a thin white head. Very sour aroma that completely overwhelms anything else. Immediately I know that something is off. Flavor is of orange, pear, and cherry. It almost seems as if the beer is in conflict with itself; it is supposed to be, and started as, a hefeweizen but now is way past its prime. I really don’t think this is all that bad as whatever style of beer it has now become but as a hefeweizen it fails tremendously. Again, I’m sure this is much better fresh as the brewer intended but unfortunately this is all too often the case with this brewer that the beer is past its prime.

12oz bottle. Poured a golden hazy color with a small white head. A light grainy wheat, citrus and clove aroma. Taste was smooth, clove, banana, coriander and oranges. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Low carbonation with a moderate body. A better Weeping Radish.

Serving: Draft. Appearance: Hazy gold with a thin, white head. Aroma: Indeterminate nose. There was too much bleach in the air for me to get much on this one. Flavor: Light wheat notes, a bit of a stale beer taste, earth, off vegetal/sulfur note. Ugh. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel and a short finish. Overall: This one was pretty bad. Definitely avoid this one.

Bottle, labeled as "German Weisen." I poured the first half of the bottle into a glass for my wife and it was completely clear like a crystal. The second half was actually really cloudy, so next time I need to remember to pour it all into 1 big glass or go back and forth. Aaaanyway, it’s in that copper/golden color range with a head that starts off large and pretty quickly drops to a thin film. Nose is citrus, yeast, and even a hint of barnyard like there’s Brett in here (which I’m pretty sure there isn’t.) Quite sour for a hefe, if that’s what this is supposed to be. More like an unusual take on a Belgian blonde, this one’s pretty wild and tart. Not bad, but not at all what I’d expected.

Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells of citrus, wheat. Tastes of citrus, bubblegum, some nice tartness. Finishes with some nice lactic hints. If this was listed as a Berliner Weiss, the scores would be a lot higher. Great beer.

Pours a hazy pale yellow. The head is thin fizzy white. The nose is tart sour infected sweet estery. Has a slick mouthfeel and a sour and tart flavor. Infected i believe. Their bottling line must be screwed.

Cloudy orange pour. Fluffy white head and spotty lace. Honey and fruit on the nose. Grainy flavor combined with a mild fruitiness
