Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Smells of ginger, dry malt, straw, citrus, caramel. Tastes of light citrus, fruity, some nice grassy hints. Not a kolsch but good.

Dark yellow with decent head. Gristy, wheaty, and malty. One of the better true-to-form koelsch’s I’ve had in the US. Well balanced but mellow, true malt with just the right kiss of the hops.

Bottle. Bubbly gold. Soft creamy white head. Nose is grains/cereal, soft fruit - hint of lemon, and maybe green apple. Taste is grainy and very fruity with some grass notes, lemon, and green apple skins. Lots of cereal notes here too. Body is light-medium and rather effervescent. As it trails off, there more malt and grain coming through and less fruit. The lemony tartness still rears its head but the apple wandered off. Not bad but nothing earth shattering either.

Draught at the brewpub. Golden color with thin head. Excellent hoppy aroma and flavor with a hint of citrus. The aftertaste is of cereal and fruit (almost like the cereal Fruit Loops). Sounds strange, but very pleasant. Better than most Kolsch beers (which I generally find boring).

The aroma is malty, with sour dough, dust, and a touch of fruit. The appearance is hazy gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma with a touch of grass. The palate is thin. Overall this is not very good.

Slightly hazy pale amber body (SRM of 8 according to my new BJCP Color Guide) with a small frothy white head. Green apple aroma with some honey and citrus. Citrusy flavor, more light apple and a bit of honey malts and a touch of graininess. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

Appropriate sweet malt on the middle of my tongue. otherwise, nothing distinctive about it. thin and slightly water - again, as with some of their other beers, lacked crispness

Transparent yellow pour. Lovely carbonation. Grassy aroma. Grains and subtle hints of fruit and honey
