One of the better true-to-form koelsch’s I’ve had in the US. Well balanced but mellow, true malt with just the right kiss of the hops. Cletus (5056), Connecticut, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2008 Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Smells of ginger, dry malt, straw, citrus, caramel. Tastes of light citrus, fruity, some nice grassy hints. Not a kolsch but good. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Excellent hoppy aroma and flavor with a hint of citrus. The aftertaste is of cereal and fruit (almost like the cereal Fruit Loops). Sounds strange, but very pleasant. Better than most Kolsch beers (which I generally find boring). ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

An easy drinking session brew, WR’s Kolsh pours a deep yellow with a rocky resilient white head and decent lacing. Hops are grassy and a bit of lemon comes through in the aroma. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2007 500ml bottle brought back from the coast. Burnt orange hue with some flecks of honeyed gold. Fluffy white head. Laced moderately well. Aromas had a mix of grain, apple, pear, and spent teabags. Sweet flavors; orange and apple and tea. Thin body. Fruit aftertaste. Futile amounts of kolsch beers to sample around here, so this one is do-able, although not a bell-ringer. keepersj12 (807), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2007 22oz bottle from Manteo location. Ok aroma, sweet. Toasted malt, orange, tea, honey, apple. Tad hazed brownish orange. Small head that faded quickly, little lacing. Sweet flavor, though had a bite about it. Grainy, grassy, little citrus. Lite body, thin creamy mouthfeel, crisp dry finish. Basic session beer, fruitier than I was guessing for a Kolsch and darker in appearence. Has lawn mower written all over it.
