Harsh stuff but had to have it since I live in the area. Plain ole bottle with the classic OBX logo on it.

My vote for the plainest label in the beer world, and the plain-Jane packaging pretty much describes the beer. Nothing offensive in this clear, golden beer underneath a snow white head. Aroma of light, resiny hops with no malt whatsoever. Initial sip fooled me into thinking this was an APA with it’s light hop flavor, mild bitterness, and barely perceptable touch of fruitiness. Very thin in the malt department, but there are no adjunct flavors to be found. Clean in flavor with no offensive qualities, but nothing to get you excited either.

I found the OBX beer to not be annoying as the OBX stickers on people’s vehicles. Good taste and perfect to chug down.

I see the OBX stickers all over the place and finally found someplace that had OBX beer so I decided to try one. Personally I don’t see what the raving is about. The bottle gives the impression of ghetto beer: black & white generic lettering. The beer is too heavy, too sweet. Comparable to MobJack’s line.

Not one of the better beers from the Radish. Very light, clean, sort of a sweet taste to it

Those OBX stickers are on the back window of just about every other vehicle in North Carolina and Virginia. I didn’t like seeing it on the beer’s label also. Anyway, this beer is clear-golden, clean tasting, fairly dry, with just a hint of sweetness. Lacking in the hop department... and overall flavor, for that matter. Not necessarily bad, just blah.

A lot of what I have to say about this echos MEI, so I’ll just add that I figure this has the malt profile of a dortmunder, except that there is a lot of pungent sulphur character and too many English hops in the finish for that style.
