Weeping Radish Pumpkin Bock

Bottle. Poured a deep brown/red with a one finger off white head. Aroma of pumpkin, sweet malt, pumpkin pie spices. Flavor was sour, with pumpkin notes and some citrus (?). Absolutely awesome beer. Glad I bought a case of it :)

1 liter bottles from the brewery in the refrigerator, but basing this on the draft beer tasted at the brewery. Beautiful brown/red color, fair head. Pumpkin flavor not overly present, with more spice flavors than anything else. Slight tartness to the finish. One of the best Radishes I’ve had.

I’m really surprised that I’m the first to review this gem of a beer. Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours mahogany with a thin white head. Smells of pumpkin, spice, caramel, tea, light citrus. Tastes lightly tarte with some nice citrus, spice, dry malt, dough. Interesting and enjoyable.

Transparent red-copper with a long lasting, nice-sized foamy white head, lots of lace. Nose reminds a little of Jolly Pumpkin beers in the clean acidity and malt, but here there’s a warm, earthy pumpkin note. Tart, citrus driven flavor with plenty of malt, and the pumpkin again plays a fantastically subtle role, somewhat pulpy and seedy in fact. Crisp body, very light and carbonated nicely, finishing nicely in sweet, earthy malt and citrus, and with a puckering lactic-like note. Really good stuff here, and unbelievably drinkable. Fans of JP’s line should seek this out.

What a unique beer. Interesting that other raters said it was brown/red or mahogany. Mine was a hazy amber with a big creamy off-white head. Nose is pumpkin bread, dough, and crystalized ginger. Taste is pumpkin pie, cinnamon, pie crust, ginger, and lemony citrus. Tart finish, but pie crust comes out more and lingers in the aftertaste. Tart tingly mouthfeel. I’m not very much a pumpkin beer guy, but I found this quite good. I’m fairly certain this beer was infected as it tastes nothing like a bock... a happy accident.

Bottle from Sams. Pours deep amber with a large, popping, off-white head. Nose of spice, light hops, light pumpkin, lemon. nice malts. Very easy drinking Really expected this to be more sweet and spicy, but its rather bitter and dry. Unlike the other WR beers I have had, I dont think this infected. Very enjoyable with alcohol well hidden. I have no idea what style this really is but its great beer, if not great pumpkin beer or a great bock. Everything balances very well.

Pours a bright copper orange with a 1-2 finger with a fizzy yellow orange head. The nose is sweet, sweet spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, malty with some leafy hops, some pumpkin meat. The flavor is similar, spicy, some malt character, a little bready, crisp, mild hop bitterness, a bit tart, some pumpkin meat under the spice. The palate is crisp and sweet and finishes a little dry. Has a tart/sour character that shows the forebears of their bottling infections. Plays to the advantage of the beer right now.

Bomber. Copper colored beer, lightly hazy with a big soapy head. No lacing. Strong nose of spicy pumpkin and dough. It tastes more like real pumpkin than most "pumpkin" beers, instead of just tasting like spices. It leaves the mouth pretty sticky with an every so slightly sour finish. Nice, rather unique brew.
