Feb 26, 2007 Bottled. Happy Happy Joy Joy. More stuff "organised" by Haus der 131 Biere. Dark ruby colour with minor head. Aroma is quite crap, almost like a Finnish summercottage "outhouse" in the summertime. Sweet and disgusting. Flavour is like a dark lager with added sugar. Looks dark and nice, but tastes like a lager. Some syrupy notes also.

Feb 14, 2007 (Bottled) Very dark reddish brown with a smallisj, beige and lacy head. Papery aroma with salty soy sauce and mushrooms. Sweetish-syrupy flavor with salty, roasted malt. Medium-bodied, slicky-syrupy palate with low carbonation. Unclean and syrupy brew with not many positive aspects to report besides the OK appearance.

Jul 10, 2006 Anker Brauerei Nagold version, 7.6% alcohol, says the label. Ruby brown color. Cherry and roast in the aroma. Sweetish flavor with roasted malt, raisin and a touch of maraschino cherries.

Jun 15, 2006 Bottle at Delirium Café in Gothenburg. Brewed under license in Germany. Pitch black color, big beige head. Fruity a bit alcoholic scent. Medium body, low to no bitterness. Fresh taste, but not much else.

Pours dark mahogany with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Nose full of licorice. Very full body with lots of roasted malt and accents of dried fruit. Lightly perfumy. Almost no bitterness. Pleasant - but closer to a malty Bock really. 170406

Apr 26, 2006 The style of this beer confuses me - the front label tells me, that it is a Porter, while the back label calls it a Dobbel bock, the appearance is much like a bock and it only has slight porter traces. The color is deep red with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with only a touch of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of chocolate. The mouthfeel is very smooth. OK.
