nick76 (2030), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 27, 2007 Well it’s definitely old so the rating is not completely accurate but I thought I would do the best I can. The aroma is sour and fruity with elements of cork, water, and wheat. The appearance is orange gold with no head because the beer is virtually flat. The flavor is like the aroma with a definite staleness. The palate is thin. LilKem (1169), Marietta, Ohio, USA Feb 19, 2006 Had this a long time ago and just found the rating. I have written: This does not seem like a witbier. Definitely smells like organic apple cider, pear juice, and spiced cinnamon, cloves, pepper, and yeast. Interesting. Flavor of rum and hot cider, corriander, pear juice. Slightly sour on the finish, like a vinegar taste. thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Dec 26, 2005 This brew was bottle conditioned corked and caged. I could not get the cork out of the bottleneck cleanly. I had to break off the top and use a cork screw to get the cork out, or what was left of it! It then poured a very small sized head of medium sized fully diminished clear bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no carbonation, was slightly hazy and orange brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of very mild wheat and dough. Its mouth feel is initially smooth and flat with a slightly tingly mild alcohol aftertaste. Its flavor contained very little flavor and reminded me of a cider. 21iceman40 (1668), north little rock, Arkansas, USA Sep 22, 2005 Very glowing orange color to it. No head at all that i can see. Apple cider, pears and mild vinegar and cinnamon in the aroma. Starts off tasting alot like apple juice and then it gets a dry bitterness to it and it has some pepper hottness in it.
