Commercial Description:
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

500ml bottle from Beaumont Market in Portland, OR--Poured a rich golden-copper body with a small white head. Nose of grainy sweet malts and grassy hops. Residual sweetness with a bitter bite in the end. Smooth and drinkable, nice mouthfeel. Decent but missing something.

A nice golden color with good carbonation and a small head. It smells of grains and malt with just a hint of hops. Not the best Octoberfest I have but no so bad either. It is smooth but just a bit too smooth and a bit skunked-like.

2008 Flour City Brewfest. I was a little disapointed by this one after all the good ones I had from this brewer before. The hops did not apeal to me.

Blah. A terrible Oktoberfest. Aroma was stale lager with some biscuit. Pour was a very disappointing light gold with no head. I’ve never had an O/M this light. Taste was very sugary and sweet. Tasted like a Budweiser with some sugar dumped in it. Honey and metal in the aftertaste.

Golden color, light head, malty with notes of lemon, earth, and meadow. There are some drying hops in there also. Finishes malty.

Bottle (already available in early August!!??) Pour is a very clearand fairly light gold color... head is minimal and aromas are of sweet malt, grass and flowery hops. Flavor is sweet malt presence with a bit of a metallic edge to it that is a little off-putting. The aftertaste twists a little south through the metal and all that, ending on an unfavorable note.

Pale golden, slightly hazy with a thin white head. Aroma is bready and lightly crackery. A touch of soft herbal character and a lightly sulfurous note. Fairly minerally crispness. Very nice fresh malt character with a nice zesty minerally hoppiness. Good balance with a clean light maltiness that is well-integrated with the bright, zesty minerally hoppiness. Soft, creamy palate. Delicious brew and highly underrated.
