Commercial Description:
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

Strong hop malt aroma with orange. Murky yellow colour with great head and lacing. Sweet malt hop flavour. Fizzy palate.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy golden with thick white head. Aroma is lightly sweet with fresh dough and honey and a light herbal and grassy touch. Flavor is malty, grainy, haylike and lightly fruity with a honey sweetness. Finish is more tangy and dry with just a faint hint of floral hops. Medium in body with a light carbonation. A pleasant experience although I’m concerned my bottle may have been a little older. I will try again.

more like a german 14-degree svetly - much better than the weihenst. pils or hell. great haystack and grass aroma, fine pencil shaving malt with just a bit of alcohol sauce, quite bitter, very dry and long fennel-seed and oregano finish - like my beloved weltenburger pils ramped up a bit. not at all like a maerzen as the BJCP defines it thank god - much drier - more like augustiner edelstoff.

This might just be the lightest looking and lightest tasting Marzen/Oktoberfest style beer I’ve had. Pours out a pale golden yellow color with a big fizzy head. It’s really a few shades away from stepping into pale lager territory. The aroma is slightly spicy, some really light malt character too it and not much else. Reminded me of drinking a pilsner in almost every way. Flavor was grassy, lightly sweet, with an underlying spicy yeast character that was refreshing. Odd that this is considered what it is, because it’s really super light in both color and flavor.

50 cl bottle, 7/07. Clear straw with a puffy white head. Nose a mild yeasty lemon. Medium carb, brisk and quenching, with just enough body to keep it from watery. Lightly tart lemon pith and peel, apple, faint cloves. Dry finish with aluminum. Not much of a Märzen.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big, but not very persistent foamy white head. Moderately sweet, pale malty, slightly grainy aroma with a mineralic touch, traces of honey and citrousy, slightly herbal hops. Pale malt character, strawy and lightly grainy taste, light-sweet flavour, medium to light body, smooth and soft carbonation; strawy pale malt character with faint notes of honey; moderately sweet and light bitter finish. Alcoholic notes are also detectable. A hardly decent Helles with Märzen-strength. They do the top-fermented brews much better.

bottle, thank you MoritzF! Clear golden yellow, malty aroma with hints of vegetables. Malty and fruity, hints of vegetables also present in the flavour. Traces of alcohol, especially in the otherwise pleasant hoppy finish. Not bad, but not really my cup of tea.

This beer did not meet the level I had hoped from this brewery and while I kind of like it, it does little for me. It is golden with a medium off-white head that lingers a bit before thinning to a ring and wisps. The aroma is grain, grass, and pine. The taste is similar, with some decent body and definite maltiness, plus a strong, persistent, if moderate pine-grassy hop bitterness. It is somewhat enjoyable and does not lack flavour while it has a somewhat intriguing & lively palate, but the bitterness is too piney and a little unpleasantly sharp and tends to overpower the malt too much. The end is very dry and a little too sharp, although I really enjoy the basic character and flavour. I’ll drink it and like it but would prefer others. To me this seemed a lot like a very dry, bitter, stronger pilsner and it is not really what I expected.
