| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2007 Weihenstephaner makes many great beers, but this is not one of them. Festbiers served in Germany usually are crystal clear with huge heads served in one-liter mugs. This had almost no head at all and was cloudy. The taste was fairly "hoppy" and not bitter and not too tasty. It does go down easily though. It is the kind of beer you can drink at a volksfest without realizing you have imbibed seven liters until you have left the beer tent and searched for your hotel in vain for four hours, weaving from street to street. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 7, 2007 A light beer with a spicy wheat taste, somewhat similar to a weak marzen. A good blend of malts and hops. Kinz (2215), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Flavor is sweet, honey and bread, with a pleasant floral and grassy hop finish. Nice. Improved significantly as it warmed. hoooraybeer (48), Cranford, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2007 I get the lemongrass aroma, and pilsner aroma. Has a great balance of malt to spicey pilsner bitter. I guess that’s the helles profile. I don’t get the breadiness. It’s got a contrasting sweet and dryness.
moutfeel is full but w/ small refreshing bubbles. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Updated: Aug 17, 2008Wow, the average on this beer is far too low. Pours pale yellow with a sudsy soapy white head. The aroma has pils malt, lemongrass, light breadiness and grass. Medium / light body with a grainy feel and gentle carbonation. The flavor starts with pils malt, light sweetness, grassiness and spicy hops. the finish is spicy and refreshing. A nicely constructed helles. (7/3/7/3/15 -3.5) Rerate notes: This has to be a different beer that what I had last year ~ now it is definitely a marzen. Pours light golden / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has lightly sweet caramel malt with the distinctive o-fest traits, but it seems more subdued and dry. Medium light body that is more crisp than normal for the style. The taste is in lie with the aroma & is far more drinkable to me that most marzens due to the dryness and some noticeable hops on the finish. A good beer & very nice for the style. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Pour is a cloudy yellow with a average white head. Aroma is deffinatly plenty of sweet malts and some hay. Flavor is super dry with some bready malts and a nice mellow hop spice to it. A nice version of the style. I saw this on sale for $10 a six and that is way to high for this beer. If you see ths 500ml bottle though pick one up. VikingHammer (363), Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 14, 2007 Golden hue with a small white head. Aroma of banana and cloves. Spicy and malty with a slightly bitter end. Thin body with some lively carbonation. awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 12, 2007 From a 500mL Bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy, pale straw color with a thick layer of foamy white head. The nose is very bready and doughy, with a touch of fruity peach and spicy cardamom, bringing to mind visions of a freshly baked danish. Medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a somewhat creamy texture. Sweet nisu bread malt flavors up front, along with notes of milky banana. A bit sweet, but a quenching wave of floral hops dries out the finish adequately.
