Commercial Description:
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

Light hay aroma with a touch of citrus. Pale golden color with white head. Flavor is sweet initially with a bitter duration. Duration is fairly long and enjoyable. Touches of lemon, caramel, and hay. Light creaminess on the palate. Well balanced and fairly enjoyable.

Pours a golden yellow color with a small thin white head, more a ring than an actuall head. Aroma is sweet of hay and wheat and a touch of caramel. Taste is also fairly sweet biscuity taste to it with some sticky sweetness to it. Very refreshing beer light sweetness is balanced by a nice hop profile. Actually I liked this Marzen better than most because to me, this has a bit more hops than many others and just rounds and smooths out this beer. I think this is a bit underrated and this is a style I don’t even really like but I would certainly drink this again, tasty.

Pours gold with a thin but stubborn white head. Smells of caramel, toffee, splashes of citrus and sage. Tastes of sweet malt, biscuits, caramel, some peppery splashes. Dry finish with some more bitterness. Very sessionable.

Pretty weak example of a German Oktoberfest beer. Pale golden color, filtered and almost clear. Not much malt character for the style, almost more like a standard German Pils than a full malty Oktoberfest. Crisp and drinkable, but I expected much more from Weihenstephaner.

Quite wheaty strainy aroma. Pretty nice, malty and thick. Doesn’t come off too wheaty, but also w/a little hops in the finish. Okay.

Draught: Faint aroma of floral hops, Pils-like malts, and corn. Poured gold in color with a medium-sized, dense, white head that diminished slowly. Decent lacing. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Starts of sweet with flavor of grape, then becomes hoppier and maltier with notes of Pils malts. Medium body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Dry, lightly bitter finish. Overall, a nice, crisp, less malty Oktoberfest.

Bottle, pours a clear medium bright gold with a white two to three finger head that dissipated quickly, looks light for an Octoberfest beer but Traditional German Octys are lighter then the American Octys, so, this looks like a typical pilsner with a little more color, has aroma of grass, pilsner malt, bread, lots of malt flavor with some malt sweetness, tastes great, a nice hop bitterness, creamy mouth feel, has a citrus like dry finish, I was kind of disappointed and surprised that this did not have the caramel and roasted malt taste like some other Octoberfest beers but this was very tasty and I enjoyed it a lot.
