Commercial Description:
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

12 oz. bottle. Fresh 2007 batch. Poured out a golden straw yellow color, with a sticky white head. Aromas are of summer grains, Vienna malts abound. Earthy hop aroma. Flavors are of Vienna malts, fresh bread sticks, slightly sweet also. Decent body, medium mouthfeel. Decent German beer overall. I’m surprised it isn’t rated higher than it is.

Yellow-ish color with a small head. Looks like it has little carbonation, but tastes like it has a lot. Smells of citrus, yeast, and slightly skunky. Tastes light, acidic, with little aftertaste. Hits the back of the tongue - good beer for a hot day.

12oz bottle
Consumed fresh right off the boat in August 2007

Clear gold colored body with a patchy white head. Nose of faint yeast, fluffy marshmallows, even fainter banana and pear, faint and subtle being the key. Does not smell like typical Marzen, but if you dig your nose into this one, you can definitely tell that it is well-made and without defects. Seems rather delicate, though, so I don’t know if a 2-month old bottle in October would be suitable, but fresh, it’s right on. Flavors of light bread, malty and sweet with pear skin, sweet creamed corn, and a light, fluffy, subtly toasty body. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale golden with a large long lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Light aroma of sweet malt, yeast, and light hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very light but refreshing and good.

Pilsish nose of yeast, grass, and a bit of spice. Pours a sparkling golden. The huge mostly lasting fluffy white head leaves good lace. Neutral flavor that is mostly bready & toasted, light acidity and some bitterness to the grainy finish. Good balance, but without the sweetness I’ve come to expect from the style. The light to medium body is creamy and soft. Their exists a slight metallic feel to the finish.

Bottle. A pale yellow beer with a big white head. The aroma is malty, grainy, and the taste is malty, of hay and straw. Medium body with a dry finish.

This was a very light beer. Refreshing, but not much too it. Little aroma, little flavor and no aftertaste. At least it was smooth. I will pass on it next time.
