Such an enormous fluffy meringue like head, a nice cloudy light orange color. Plenty of good lace. The smell is intensely yeasty and dry with some good fruit scents. Some spiciness, some copper, and some bread dough. Flavor is just so quintessential for the style. but the notes are so well amplified. This is a fantastic tasting beer. There is a immediate yeasty and bubblegum flavor some apple and citrus along with the classic banana clove combination. This is sweeter than many hefes so I take it one bottle at a time, but it is such a delight. Taverner (878), San Ramon, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Aroma is bubblegum and must. Nose is all clove. Pours a crystal clear golden. Flavor is sweet, cloveish and slightly back biting bitter. Definitely a true Hef! Bready notes strike in between the clove and bubblegum notes. arrogantb (715), Denver, Colorado, USA

Flavor is bubblegum, clove, blackjack nice. This was definitely a good hefe and I am fairly ignorant when it comes to German beers. I’ll be picking up some more Weihenstephaner beers in the future.

Beautiful hazy golden body, white head, lots of visible carbonation. Aroma: wheat, stewed lemons, hops. Flavour: wheat and citrus, hoppy-yeast finish. Clean and crisp. Awesome. jmm635 (269), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Pours a hazy pale yellow with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma was fantastic! The scent of bananas fills the nose, along with some really strong yeast scents. The flavor is similar, but has a nice malty base. Great carbonation, feels real lively in your mouth and is very, very drinkable. Easily the best hefeweizen I have tasted. BeerBaron617 (312), Novi, Michigan, USA

It’s yeasty, and bready, and amazing. The flavor is also really malty, with hints of banana. Thanks to my pops for splitting this fantastic brew. Cheers! Grossecaisse (108), France

The white creamy head is rather small with a normal duration. The body is light cloudy and orange. The taste is light bitter with a normal duration, not so pleasant. The beer is light with much carbonation and a light astringent finish.
