Jul 4, 2008 POured as cloudy yellow color with a nice whte head. Aroma is very wheaty. Flavor is much the same, not too much fruity tone mixed in.

Jul 3, 2008 Bottle, 50 cl. Huge rocky white head with excellent lacing. Cloudy dark yellow body. Malt aroma of grain and hay, light hop aroma, aroma of banana and bubble gum. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation. Moderate sweet and light bitter.

Jul 2, 2008 500mL bottle. Pours a nice cloudy golden colour with a nice frothy head. Nose is quite fruity, can pick up on strawberries, banana as well as a bit of a floral touch. Flavour is a bit sweet, but very clean. A bit of the banana again. Finish is quite nice, with a very slight bitter spiciness.

Jun 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a big foamy white head. Fantastic aroma of banana, clove, spices, candy store and wheat. Flavour is banana, more banana, clove, sweet spices and a long pleasant bitter aftertaste. What a wonder of hefes!

Jun 30, 2008 Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier is a cloudy, sparkling, hay-colored beer with a firm, dense off-white head. It has a spicy aroma of banana and clove. It is medium bodied, smooth and creamy with a clean finish. The flavor is clean, bold and smooth with a lot of spice. It’s very clovey and peppery. An excellent Hefe!

Jun 29, 2008 I am a huge fan of Hefe Wiessen beers and this was an excellent choice for me. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it very much. It had the traditional banana/clove taste but was sweeter with a little more spice to it. I thought it had a very nice nose and a clean crisp finish.

App.: Hazy orange-golden with a fair white meringue.
Aroma: Cereal and wheat, slightly tangy, light banana esters, a bit grassy, lightly smokey (really??), slightly spicey.
Palate: Medium body, medium-full effervescence, somewhat astringent.
Flav.: A bit more banana that on the nose, some cereal and what, a bit of clove dry with a very slight spicey grain aftertaste.[br/][br/]
I worked on the Freising campus of TUM, where this brewery is located. Oddly enough, their products were not well-liked by the locals due to rumours of headaches. This product was not well-liked by me because it was boring. Thankfully, no headache to report.

Jun 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 1, 2008Has the aroma and flavour of a typical Hefeweizen. Citrus, yeast, banana, cloves, and bubblegum. A bit sweeter than other hefeweizens I have had (a good thing). I have been wanting to try this one for quite some time now. I was happy to see it here finally. Although I think it is just seasonal beer here in Ontario. This reminds me why I love Hefeweizens.
