Jun 26, 2008 Fizzy golden w/ huge pale head. Strongly wheaty nose, raw banana, clove, yeast. Flavor is quite spritzy, wheat, peppery spices, a hint of alcohol. This bottle was surprisingly low on fruitiness. Medium bodied, slick palate. It’s a good weisse, but I’ll go with Ayinger.

Jun 25, 2008 Alot sweeter than most hefes, but this leaves nothing to be desired. Its a very deep taste that changes as it sits in your mouth. Less sweet finish. Not too lemony, which is very refreshing.

Jun 21, 2008 Pours a cloudly yellow/gold color. Aroma is very yeasty with banana, clove, and a hint of bubble gum. Taste is the same, with a metallic and flat finish.

Aroma is yeasty with just a hint of banana and clove. taste is strong for the style and the aftertaste lingers pleasantly.
"The World’s Oldest Brewery" seems to have perfected this style.

Jun 21, 2008 Bottle. Lovely cloudy light golden pour with a nice bubbly and lasting head. Bananas, yeast, clove on the nose. A little citrus. Very bright and flavorful. This is such a standard Hefe it’s almost hard to describe... it’s exactly what a Hefeweizen should be. A classic.

Jun 14, 2008 typical hefe pour. nice cloudy yellow pour, with a great big white head. Lovely aromas of banana, and bubble gum. Some nice yeasty esters. Flavour is nice and yeasty, with some great clove, and banana. A nice slightly tangy finish. a great hefe. Spot on for the style, and excellent example.

Jun 13, 2008 500 ml bottle from the LCBO. everything about this brew is pure hefe. no reason to go into real detail about anything because nothing really stands out from anything else. just a very good example of this style. great summer brew.
