It has a pure delicious wheat beer flavor in the tradition of the German purity laws. There is a smooth, lingering, pleasant aftertaste as well. Papillon (177), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Aroma of plum sauce and bananas with faint notes of cloves, pears, melon, and wildflowers. Full flavor of malt / wheat with notes of tangerine peel, cloves, bananas, and an innuendo of pineapple with a finish that is like cantaloupe. Hey Hefe lovers, check this one out. Actually, I enjoyed it with my chicken dinner. BVery (512), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA

While a great weissbier, it lags behind Denison’s, which I hold as the ideal to achieve. Good amount of lacing with a golden pour. Touch of sugar hidden beneath the primary flavours of banana, cloves and coriander. Clean finish, and a very enjoyable beer. Weissbiers are one of the few lighter beers I enjoy drinking, and this is definitely one of the top I have had the chance to drink. Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Bottle at LCBO - Top rated (essentially) Hefeweizen? Eh, I suppose so, I’m more into witbiers though.
Anyways, it pours nice into a nearly opaque, dark yellow/orange with a head that’s nothing special. The nose and taste is VERY similar to Pauliner, so the wheat, citrus, and do I sense some banana? Either way it’s a very nice wheat beer experience with a nice aftertaste, only problem I have with it is that it angers my stomache a little bit, but that’s just me.
