| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Color: Medium dark copper brown. Thick head that dissipated quickly. Nose: Malt and spice, grassy. Medium body, solid carbonation. Mild malt up front, clove, hints of fruits, raisins. Flavors blend nicely and are mild. Alcohol barely noticeable. Slightly dry, with a lingering touch of sweet. Enjoyable. CanIHave4Beers (912), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Pours a very hazy brown color with a big fluffy white head leaving tons of lace. Aroma is considerably spicy, very nice. Lots of good banana and nuttiness on the nose, almost a banana bread sort of thing happening. The aroma is more spicy than fruity sweet though. Flavor profile is nice good notes of brown sugar, clove, nuts, yeast, bubblegum, raisin, and a mild almost citrus like fruitiness. Despite almost every single flavor that I just listed there being in one way or another synonymous with a beer that is very sweet, this has a well balanced dryness that really evens the beer out. Another fantastic brew from Weihnstephaner. Poobah (103), New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Attractive pour with sustained thin head and light apricot shade. Spicy, ripe banana nose. Somewhat malty intro that transitions smoothly to raisiny, banana bread finish. Pleasantly soft mouthfeel especially in the follow through. Highly enjoyable considering I am rating in a hotel room with a hotel-issued plastic cup! Nebulor (109), , California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Caramel and banana arome with some vanilla and bubblegum.
A hazy beef broth color with a tan hue, off tan head that is about a sixteenth inch.
Caramel and banana malt tast with some hints of vanilla and bubblegum and an alcohol flavor is balanced within.
Medim bodied, resinous feel, and has an alcohol feel as well through to the finish.
Probably better on tap and on par or better than their hefe.
