Commercial Description:
Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Hefe’s are not my favorite style, but this is a good one. It is very sweet, with notes of citrus and unripe banana. There is a grainy flavor also which reminds me of dry cereal. Finishes nice.

This has one of the best aromas (sweet) I have smelt in while. It is a very dark hefe. Flavor was not as pronounced as the aroma. Beautiful caramel color.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a orange/brown with very nice beige head. Not much aroma , slight bubblegum. Flavor is very nice, some bannana, bubblegum, dark roast. Mouthfeel is light-medium body with high carbonation. Over all I enjoyed this beer. Would have again.

From a bottle poured brown with lots of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a lingering finish.

bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a slightly off white head, not much lacing. Nose is somewhat subdued but hints of malt and bananna shine through. Taste is wheat malt but this bottle has a strong taste of oxidation, cardboard. Hopefully I can get a fresher bottle next time, if there is one.

500 mL bottle. Hazy rust-coloured beer. Crisp bubblegum-banana-clove aroma. It tastes like a weizen, but not so much like a dunkel. Sweet, wheaty, yeasty, well carbonated. Some spice and just a touch of chocolate at the end. Good, but could be a little meatier.

Its a good German beer, its got some dark toasted malts, not too hoppy and it goes down real smooth. Weihenstephaner are winner and this one is no exception
