Aroma of medium wheat malt, clean water, and yeast. Flavor is medium/light, grassy, wheat, but full bodied. Mouthfeel is a little fizzy. Really damn good beer, like a lighter dunkel which is perfect for me. Miksu (2234), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Hazy brown amber color with fluffy beige head. Sweetish aroma with clove, vanilla, caramel, bread and hint of banana. Bready and wheaty flavor with clove, pepper, caramel, banana and tart fruits. A bit watery palate. I’m not a fan of dunkel weizens and also in this case the standard weizen from Weihenstephan is much better. bgiamatei (233), São Paulo, Brazil

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2008 A- Pours an unfiltered dark caramel color with a massive, creamy head. The head retains for quite a while and leaves lacing as it falls.
S- Smell is a very sweet, strong banana scent with hints of wheat and darker fruits.
T- Taste seems a bit anticlimatic in that it isn’t nearly as flavorful as the nose lets on. Slight banana sweetness.
M- Something about the mouthfeel on this brew really rubs me the wrong way. A bit undercarbonated and leaves a sticky sweet coating on the inside of my mouth.
D- This beer seems like it would be pretty drinkable in that it is not too offensive but its not nearly as flavorful as I was expecting. None the less it seems to be a good thirst quencher Odyn (221), New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Really really good dunkel that is full of great yeasty aroma, with a crisp citrus sharpness that dissapates and makes you long for another sip. I also love the murkiness and just about everything about this beer. Pwn3d (1088), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Bottled. Pour is a hazy honey amber with nice head. Looks great. Taste is yeasty with some clove, all wheat beer characteristics. Yet, still retains some dark characteristics. Had this after there Korbinian Doppelbock, although not as big, this one was more my style and much more approachable. And for the style this one is top notch.
