Commercial Description:
Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of malts, light peat, and overcooked vegetables. Poured light brown/milk chocolate in color with a large, fluffy, rocky, creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of yeast, malts, spices, nuts, light burnt caramel, slight banana, slight peat, dark malts, wheat, and hints of bubblegum and smoke. Medium to full body. Tingly texture. Average to lively carbonation. Malt and nut finish.

Thick head and lacing. Aroma is wheaty and malty. Taste is about the same as the aroma with a bitter aftertaste. I like how mild the hops are in this beer.

I tried this beer on November 5, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark brown colour with golden highlights and 1" head that lasted. The aroma was wheat malt, cloves, and some yeast. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and medium carbonation. The flavour was wheat malt, cloves, some ginger-like flavours and a bitter finish.

Pours a cloudy brown colour with a big white foamy head. The aroma is yeasty, banana bread, clove, pretty much everything everyone said it was. The flavour is good, banana bread, yeasty, light spice, finish’s on a super light anise note. It’s pretty good, much better than Erdinger’s version of this style.

From the 1 pt. 0.9 fl. oz. bottle numbered 5099. It pours a dark but cloudy amber with a significant beige, puffy head. The aroma is a pleasing dash of malts, cloves, and wheat. The taste is a relaxing Allspice-clove-malty mix with mellow hops. Not to pungent or bitter and generally mild. Likeable.

500mL bottle from LCBO. Pours cloudy dark amber with frothy white head. Yeasty, bananna nose. Creamy, flavour of caramel, more bannana, clove, a bit nutty. Finish a bit sweet.

500ml Bottle: Pours deep, cloudy amber brown, good sized foamy off-white head. Lots of hefeweiss in the nose heavy with cloves and banana bread, along with a toffee malt character and lots of yeast. The taste is a nice blend of styles with a tasty banana and clove based hefeweiss backed with nutty, caramel malts and a bready yeast character. Unfortunately a bit light in body, but largely a nice dunkelweizen.

500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a cloudy brownish orange with decent tan head. Nose of banana, clove in the nose. Flavour has banana, caramel, clove and light roastiness. Finish is dry, lightly sweet and wheaty. Fizzy, fine carbonation. Pretty good.
