Taste is about the same as the aroma with a bitter aftertaste. I like how mild the hops are in this beer. cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on November 5, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark brown colour with golden highlights and 1" head that lasted. The aroma was wheat malt, cloves, and some yeast. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and medium carbonation. The flavour was wheat malt, cloves, some ginger-like flavours and a bitter finish. wilderthanyou (420), Guelph, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Pours a cloudy brown colour with a big white foamy head. The aroma is yeasty, banana bread, clove, pretty much everything everyone said it was. The flavour is good, banana bread, yeasty, light spice, finish’s on a super light anise note. It’s pretty good, much better than Erdinger’s version of this style. puboflyons (614), New Hampshire, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2009 From the 1 pt. 0.9 fl. oz. bottle numbered 5099. It pours a dark but cloudy amber with a significant beige, puffy head. The aroma is a pleasing dash of malts, cloves, and wheat. The taste is a relaxing Allspice-clove-malty mix with mellow hops. Not to pungent or bitter and generally mild. Likeable. ChrisThomson (405), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2009 500ml Bottle: Pours deep, cloudy amber brown, good sized foamy off-white head. Lots of hefeweiss in the nose heavy with cloves and banana bread, along with a toffee malt character and lots of yeast. The taste is a nice blend of styles with a tasty banana and clove based hefeweiss backed with nutty, caramel malts and a bready yeast character. Unfortunately a bit light in body, but largely a nice dunkelweizen. Spab (296), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
