Consumed 26.3.08 Pours murky, hazy dark amber, with a light beige big fluffy head. Some banana & spices on the nose, light fruitiness at the back of the mouth coupled with a sweet vanilla creaminess. A really nice beer. UnholyBrewing (450), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia

Mixes dark malty, and mellow flavors, with a creamy taste that lingers in the head, and begs you to take another gulp. Dark dryish fruit flavors complement to the complexity of this great beer, drink it. wheatfreak (41), Marinette, Wisconsin, USA

I prefer the regular hefes over the dunkels, but this one is pretty good. Nice sweet balance of the yeast, malts, and fruits- comes together nicely. ante (2969), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy, almost opaque brown colour topped with a rich and creamy off-white foam. Cloves and banana in the aroma with touches of toasted malts and dark fruit. Medium to light-bodied with with strong notes of cloves and banana with undertones of nuts, all-spice, almonds and toasted malts. Lively carbonation, of course. Over-riped banana, cloves and toasted malts in the aftertaste Pretty good but I still looking for a Dunkelweizen that blows my socks off... chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Pours a cloudy brown. Had this at a German restaurant paired with Swinehaxen (pork shank). Has the pleasant traditional aromas and flavors of a Hefeweiss like clove and banana. Noted were some toasted flavors. One of the finer examples of this style. crowderm (285), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Nice hazy dark amber color with a huge billowy head. Aroma is very sweet and malty with some subtle clove spice. The flavor is nice roasted wheat/malt with a little bit of clove/citrus spice. The palate is very nice with some good mouthfeel and solid carbonation for the style. A very nice Dunkelweizen overall. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

Roasty aroma of wheat and malt, with a touch of spiciness and citrus. Flavor of wheat toast, with a touch of light fruitiness. Palate is a little thin, but still refreshing. Good brew. ilovedarkbeer (1369), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Pours a cloudy brown color with a massive creamy off white head that just doesnt die. Nose is of clove coriander, wheat, and some dark malt. Taste is some what bland. Roasted malt, a bit of chocolate, wheat, spice and a bit of watery mouthfeel. Really very average. I expected more for Weihenstephaner.
