The dark malts give it an earthier quality that is quiet pleasent. Not as aromatic as the lighter hefeweisse but otherwise an excellent beer bonbright7 (173), Bellport, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Updated: Oct 7, 2007I gently poured the virulent brown contents into my tall pint glass and it produced a massive foamy head that declined unevenly and slowly. As I worked through the foam to the body and flavor, I was nearly rendered speechless as the malty taste was lightly enhanced by the parts of bananas and yeast. All this from a bottle which led me to wonder the usual question: what is like on tap? Update 10/07: The tap version is not as strongly nuanced as the bottle, but it is very drinkable.
