Milk, lactic, traces of diacetyl, and wheat. Roasted malt, only traces of diary flavours. Bit of corn too, and certainly wheat taste. Well balanced. Quite full bodied, aftertaste is typically sourish. Decent Dunkel Weizen. Interesting balance, just fine. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA

I certainly liked how this one poured, with the same bubbly texture as the regular hefes but with a dark brown appearance. The brew was rather sweet with a nice texture that goes down very smoothly. Worth a try. bluesman42@gmailcom (43), Arkansas, USA

Dark and sweet flavors, nice warm thick mouthfeel, everythink I could ever want from a weissbier. Absolutely amazing. charlotte (2036), Vanløse, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2007 A very traditional style German beer, and although it is needless to say...these guys know what they are doing. A fantastic tasting beer. You have to give credit for knowing how to perfect something and keep it that way over years and years. A clean nose with banana and cloves with a slight sweet malt nose and a punch of yeast. Appearance looks like rusty water, cloudy with a nice fluffy white head. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, on the thin side but still nice and smooth. Flavors were more banana, clove, some bubblegum and light cracker notes. Excellent beer for ANY occasion. I think these brewers sometimes gets a bit overlooked in their quality because they are sooo easy to find. I really respect this brewery and their traditions and it’s evident in their beer that they do the same. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA
