| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 21, 2009 500 ml bottle - pours a completely opaque swampy brown with some lightness at the edges with a dense cream-coloured head that lasts for quite awhile. Aroma big on banana, some milk chocolate, yeast phenolics, a splash of alcohol. Flavour not as good as the aroma, simple: Mainly caramalt, wheat, yeast. Body thick at first, then thins out quickly in the finish. Quite a nice beer. robinvboyer (1444), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

Very similar to their regular hefe but it’s got a bit of a thicker mouthfeel and some more bready malts. The clove and banana esters are a litte more pronounced and super sharp. This the benchmark beer for the style bburychka (55), Pennsylvania, USA

Sweet malts & clovey aroma. Taste is well balanced combo of sweet malts, hefe like cloviness, light banana. Light fizzziness on the tongue. Nice beer alepig666 (78), Adelaide, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2009 500ml bottle. Poured medium brown with about an inch of off white head, that settled down to a cm that lasted the length of the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, with loads of wheat and a touch of citrus, lovely. Taste of mostly the aforementioned malt at first, then lots of wheat comes into play. Sweet on the swallow, with a nice dry wheat aftertaste. Utterly excellent Dunkel, maybe not quite as good as their peerless Hefe but still head and shoulders above the rest. Superb. mcdav2154 (297), Germany
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Very nice brew. Hazy brown in color with a thick rocky top tan head. Great lacing. Smell is of bread, banana, light citrus, and caramel. Taste was very bready with banana and brown sugar. Thick beer with sweet on the front and a mild citric bitterness on the back. I will definately buy more of this one. SaintMatty (1236), Tallinn, Estonia
