Commercial Description:
Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Bottle. 50cl. Almost as good as the hefe-weissbire, but more malty and less banana, but never the less a damn good beer.

Brown pour, large and rapidly diminishing head, decent at best lacing. Aroma is bananas, caramel, darker fruits, some oxidation, yeast. Flavor brings this, lightly sweet and tart. Overall decent but probably the worst beer I’ve had from them.

Malty and caramel scents. Dark brown. Lots of sweet malt. Sweet malt tastes with a slight vanilla flavor.

12oz draft at Rathskeller, Indy - Aroma is very yeasty, sweet and bready with a touch of lemon and spice. Pours cloudy brown-orange with a small head and little lacing. Flavor matches aroma with the clove and banana coming out. Palate is smooth and creamy. Sweet and tasty.

500ml bottle. Pours a huge, off white head that slowly settled. Not as cloudy as a golden hefe but the rich, dark amber brown color is appealing. Smells like clove and banana. Nice flavor with a smooth, creamy texture. The flavor to me is not as yummy as a regular high end hefe but I think I’ll try to keep a bottle of this around for guest to try out.

Mmmm...clovey. Deliciously complex without putting the senses on overload. I just wish it had a bit more aroma. Other than that, another fine beer.
