Commercial Description:
A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Sweet, malty aroma with caramel and roast. Flavor is malty and sweet with dark fruit notes (plum, fig), caramel, alcohol, and slight hop bitterness. Smooth, fairly full palate with a little alcohol warmth. Overall a phenomenal example of the style. Spaghetti pairing was not great though.

dark brown with medium tan head. moderate carbonation. nose of caramel malt. flavor is of caramel malt with some burnt notes from kettle caramelization. hop bitterness makes it reasonably balanced. not too much residual dextrins doesn’t leave it overly malty and cloying. the finish might be the best part, being very clean for such a large beer. very good, one of the best doppels i have had

Beer #100! Poured a very dark chocolate black with a hint of red. Smells roasty and bitter. The taste is all dark chocolate, smoke, slightly sweet slightly bitter. Very well rounded, not too much of anything stands out to me. A good beer.

Bottle. Brown and poured with a small head. Nutty and malty with a pleasant aroma upon opening.Very easy to drink considering its fairly high strength. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a very deep dark brown with a nice frothy tan head that leaves good lacing. Sweet and malty aroma with caramel, dark fruit, chocolate, raisins and some nuttiness. Smooth and very rich flavor of sweet caramel malts, molasses, chocolate, raisins and brown sugar with a medium to full body and has a sweet dry roasty finish. Awesome brew

Wow, this is liquid bread crust- everything about it scream, smells, and even looks like a mouth of bread crust. This would go so well with pb&j it is not even funny. No seriously, I’m not laughing. Why are you? Stop Laughing! $2.99 per 500ml bottle at Gulf Liquors, Miami Beach

Bottle: Poured a deep Burgundy color bock with large dirty brown color head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of banana ester with some dry fruits notes. Taste is also dominated by some dark fruit taste with ester of banana and some sweet malt. Body is about average with some creamy notes and good carbonation with no distinguishable alcohol. Well done but it would have been even better to get a fresher bottle.

Great Doppel. Aromas of grilled oranges/lemons. Bitter roasted malts, plum and citrus on the palate.
