| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2009 Bottle: Poured a deep Burgundy color bock with large dirty brown color head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of banana ester with some dry fruits notes. Taste is also dominated by some dark fruit taste with ester of banana and some sweet malt. Body is about average with some creamy notes and good carbonation with no distinguishable alcohol. Well done but it would have been even better to get a fresher bottle. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2009 16.9 oz bottle, via EDA. Pours a nice dark chestnut brown body with a one inch frothy beige head that slowly settled to a thin film. The nose is sweet lightly roasted and toasted malts with a touch of nuttiness. Rather smooth flavor with just a little bit of residual sweetness, not enough to be sticky or under attenuated tasting. Light roast coffee, toasted malt, a bit of some plum like fruitiness on the back end. A little bit of noticeable alcohol and husky graininess on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a fairly clean finish, moderate soft fizzy carbonation. Overall a pretty nice beer. RSRIZZO (1362), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Color is a deep dark amber with good carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is a fruity roasted scent. Taste is roasted, sweet and smoky. Starting with a medium body it goes down easy with a sweet nip on the end. Finish comes on with some dried fruit ( raisin and prune ) then a roasted flavor with a touch of smoke and very easy bitterness. Overall this is a tasty brew with a nice balanced flavor.
