Commercial Description:
A double bock beer that has what it takes. Not just for lovers of strong beer. With a malty aroma and great taste, our Korbinian is a true beer speciality. It goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as wild roasts and fowl.

Pours a dark copper color with a tan head. Aroma is of caramel malts, dark fruits, molasses, roasted malts, and some smoke. Thick on the palate. Flavor is very much the same with a dry slightly bitter finish from some floral hops. Pretty good.

This is not my favorite example of this style, but nonetheless is a very well made beer. Has a slight heaviness, almost syrupy on the palate. The aroma is wonderful, with almost a peaty smokiness. Chocolate and cinnamon clove spice dominate the flavor. I can imagine this is a wonderful food beer.

16.9 oz bottle-A dark brown body with a small tan head and an aroma of sweetness, malt, molasses, smoke, and fruity esthers. Taste of the same with malts, chocolate, caramel, and slight coffee coming out throughout this medium to full bodied brew. I’m not a big fan of this style but I tink this brew is very well made. Great beer.

Pours a nice deep reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is malty with a bunch of caramel malt coming through. Taste is very smooth and malty, with of course lots of caramel flavor. Very good, but not as good as Celebrator or optimator. Still a great doppelbock.

This proves to me that Doppelbocks are one of the most enjoyable styles in beer IMO. Great brown color with a light brown head. Sweet but dry, easy to drink yet full bodied. Slight caramel sweetness and maybe dried fruit. Very enjoyable, would like to hav again if i remember to get around to it.

50 cL bottle. Pours beautiful dark amber, visible, with a dense off-white head. Dried fruity and dark roasted malt aroma. Flavour is smooth chocolate flavoured malty with a slight note of dried fruit and a mild woody note. The barley notes keep lingering into the far finish and provide some warmth with the alcohol. Mild bitterness in the far finish.

Nice beer. I love doppelbocks too though. If you love doppelbocks, then find this one, or ask me, I can get it for you. I would be happy to trade. Reminds me of coffee. Very nice feel on the palate, very pleasant. Little carbonation and a dark color like it should. Nice.
