| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 16, 2009 A deliciously spicy and malty beer. Tastes heavily of caramelised bread pudding with a dusting of cinnamon. Mouthfeel is thick and comforting, but the hop balance saves it from being cloying. jcos (36), Maryland, USA

Slight alcohol nose with nuts and a bit of malt. Very smooth mouth feel. sweet nutty flavor with a balanced alcohol flavor. hard to put this one down. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Pours ruby/copper with a large persistent creamy head.
Strong sweet malt with a bit of Vegemite (not good!), some toasty notes. A hint of noble hops and some light caramel and chocolate.
Very similar flavours: sweet toasty malt, light noble hops, some toasty notes. Sweet alcohol in the finish is rather cloying.
Good rich body, but needs more carbonation to dry out the finish a bit. beernovice39 (256), South Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Very fine dark pour with little flashes of red highlights. Refreshing aroma features a light, malty sweetness and hops. This is a crisp, malty bock that is nicely balanced between brown ale like malt and zesty, nutty hops, plus a dash of bourbonesque sweetness. A very fine bock from Weihenstephaner. fidel (920), Livermore, California, USA
