Bottle. High light brown creamy and lasting head. Clear and beautiful ruby body. Sweet caramel cocoa aroma. Feels very good in the mouth, round and smooth. Flavor of sweet caramel cocoa and nuts with a bit of hops bitterness but not much carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste. Pleasant surprise.

500ml Bottle: pours very dark that is a clear dark ruby when held up to a light, off-white head, some effervesence in this brew, aroma of dark bread, bread crust and malt sweetness, wine, chocolate and faint alcohol of bourbon(?), rich dark malt flavors with dark bread mixed with malt sweetness, faint berry-fruit flavors, some licorice hanging around in the background, faint alcohol warmth on the tongue, little hops on the palate, nice full mouth feel, some sweetness in the finish but the finish is medium dry.

Bottle: Pours a dark Ruby brown. A thin tan head tings the glass. Sweet nutty nose states to drinker...I am a big full bodies german beer... Toasted notes are surounded by sweet candi sugar, toffee and instant memories of Willies’s Smokehouse in Harrisville, PA. Man...they have the best smoked cheese. Legs are loose and short lived. This beer is not in a hurry to impress. It is full bodied and well balanced and unpresumpstuous (-5 for spelling) The finish is just as impressive as the body and nose. A nice surprise at the rip and run.

bottle. amber with disipating white head. Sweet, rotting aroma. Nice flavor of spice, caramel, cloves. Good mouthfeel and finish, niecely balanced. As advertised, I can imagine it with smoked meat/roasts. Very good.

Pours a clouded ruby brown with basically no head that falls fast. Nose is malty and sweet smelling. Flavor is rich with a caramel character and a thick body of ingredients. Feel is smooth with a nice bubble on the tongue and a thicker liquid feel that is slightly silky. Definitely drinkable. Easily sessionable. Damn good.

Pours a dark brown in the glass and shows red/ruby in the light. The head is medium, creamy, beige. The aroma is sweet, malty, caramel notes, sweet spice (nutmeg?). The flavor is rich and malty, sweet, light alcohol, caramel, earthy, raisin, goooood, gets better as it warms. Average palate, not too carbonated but not thin or syrupy. Excellent dopple.
